Preoperative planning is everything. For me, it makes me a better surgeon, improves patient outcomes, forces me to encounter gaps in knowledge, and communicates to the team what the plan is.
In the future, I hope to separate the plans below by subspecialty.
During a gap between cases, I took the opportunity to learn the "level 2" mechanics of the knee, particularly around the coronal alignment at the knee, and the 'phases' of force distribution across the trochlear groove.
